Istanbul Citizens: Istanbul citizens are modern, warm and hospitable. Whenever you need, everyone will be ready and happy to help you.

Simcard: For the simcard, Turkcell is most expensive and has the best coverage. Vodafone is cheap in international calls. Turk Telekom is cheapest in domestic use and internet.

Sightseeing: Try walking more. Istanbul is full of history. Look at everywhere while you are walking. And if you wonder anything, be curious to try it. Sea sides are a little cooler than internal Istanbul. So if you are going seaside, be prepared.

Conversation: If you want to ask anything while you are taking a tour outside, choose the people who look like university student or businessman. Generally these profiles 90% speaks English.

Tips: The tip in the restaurants are generally 5-10% of the bill. If you don't like the service, you don’t have to tip.

Rush Hours: Rush hours are 07:30 – 10:00 and 18:00 – 21:00. Be prepared for the traffic jam in this hours. Try using metro, metrobus, tram or ferry in rush hours.

Change Offices: Do not convert too much money in airport change offices. You can find many change offices very close to our apartment hotels. Please keep in mind that, after 18:00, and in weekends, the parity margin is too high, and try to avoid changing money in these time spaces.

Pharmacy: There are many pharmacies very close to our apartment hotels. Pharmacies are open 08:30 – 19:00 everyday except Sundays. If it is closed, you can check it’s window to see which pharmacy is open at that time.

Plugs: The plugs in Turkey are like this in the photo. We have converters to borrow for free or to buy in our office.
